Insurance Requirements
Insurance is required by the leasing companies on all leased Motorcycles. The leasing companies are very specific in their requirements and your lease will not be approved until these requirements have been met.
When contacting your insurance company, you must tell them that you are leasing your motorcycle. If you are acquiring your insurance online through Progressive or Geico, there is an area where it will ask if you are leasing or purchasing. A copy of the insurance binder or verification of insurance showing liability limits, deductible amounts, and Loss Payee and Additional Insured is required and must be submitted and approved.
On a leased motorcycle, the Leasing company must be listed as both Loss Payee/Lessor AND Additional Interest. Leasing companies are also very specific on their liability limits and deductible limits. These limits must be correct, or your lease will not be approved.
We currently have 3 leasing companies that we work with. Listed below are their insurance limits and addresses. The Loss Payee/Lessor and Additional Interest must have the leasing company listed exactly as below:
